Education, Training and Achievements

Neal L. Rockowitz, M.D. is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who received a

Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Biology from the 

Massachusetts Institute of Technology  (MIT) in Cambridge, MA. 

He received his Medical Degree from McGill University Medical School

 in Montreal, Canada.  

Dr. Rockowitz fulfilled his orthopaedic surgery residency

at the  Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA.  

Fellowship in Joint Replacement Surgery with Dr. Richard Rothman

was completed at Pennsylvania Hospital and Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

After his fellowship, Dr. Rockowitz was recruited to establish the

first Orthopaedic Surgery department for the Ochsner Clinic of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. 

Dr. Rockowitz opened a Solo, Private practice in Phoenix,

in 1990 and has treated thousands of Local, National and International patients with excellent results.

Dr. Rockowitz has published articles and has authored a chapter in a leading textbook on the Hip. 

He has made numerous National and International presentations

and has invented Instruments to improve the practice of Orthopaedics.  

Dr. Rockowitz's expertise as a Pioneer and 

International Instructor of the Anterior Total Hip Replacement Procedure 

is world renowned and valued by patients, 

surgical teams, nurses, physical therapists and referring physicians.
